Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will provide expert advice, support and guidance to staff, leaders and executives to foster a positive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role covers developing and implementing health and safety initiatives, risk management, training delivery and continuous improvement to protect employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Experience interpreting health and safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and standards.
• Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture within a large, complex organisation.
• Experience leading health and safety programs, risk management activities, audits, investigations and compliance initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, develop reports and provide recommendations to senior leaders and executives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and training skills; healthcare experience is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert health and safety advice to employees, managers and senior leaders to strengthen organisational safety performance.
• Lead and support health and safety programs, initiatives and training that promote compliance and a positive safety culture.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits and safety reviews to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop, review and maintain health and safety policies, procedures and documentation in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
• Monitor safety performance through data analysis, reporting and stakeholder engagement to support continuous improvement.
