Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will provide expert advice, support and guidance to staff, leaders and executives to foster a positive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role covers developing and implementing health and safety initiatives, risk management, training delivery and continuous improvement to protect employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Experience interpreting health and safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and standards.
• Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture within a large, complex organisation.
• Experience leading health and safety programs, risk management activities, audits, investigations and compliance initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, develop reports and provide recommendations to senior leaders and executives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and training skills; healthcare experience is highly regarded.

Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis:

• FTE Salary $96,570.76 - $106,759.12 per annum + 12% Superannuation
• Salary packaging of up to $11,650 per annum
• 5 weeks annual leave

The Health & Safety Advisor plays a key role in driving and proactively managing health and safety programs, systems and risks across Latrobe Regional Health. Working within the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, you will provide expert advice, support and guidance to employees, leaders and executives to foster a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety initiatives, supporting risk management activities, delivering training and driving continuous improvement to enhance the safety and wellbeing of employees, patients and visitors.

The role of the Health & Safety Advisor is to:

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

• Experience leading health and safety programs, risk management activities, audits, investigations and compliance initiatives.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and training skills, with healthcare industry experience highly regarded.
