Job summary

Ramelius Resources Limited in Western Australia seeks an experienced Health and Safety Advisor for our Mt Magnet operations. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on investigations, risk controls and safe operating practices across open pit, processing and underground activity.

You will lead ICAM investigations, manage hazard records in INX, conduct inspections, support the Mine Safety Management System and coordinate with contractors to ensure robust safety systems on site.

Qualifications

• Two years in a health and safety advisory role in mining.
• Experience across surface and underground mining with processing exposure preferred.
• ICAM qualification and demonstration of investigations leadership.
• Health and safety qualification (Certificate IV) required.
• Experience using INX or similar safety management system.
• WA C Class (manual) license and ability to obtain police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICAM investigations from notification to report and recommendations.
• Maintain hazard and event records in INX and follow actions to closure.
• Perform workplace inspections, audits and verify critical controls.
• Support Mine Safety Management System procedures, risk assessments and plans.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure safety systems on site.

Role Overview

Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, you will join the Mt Magnet Health and Safety team, working alongside supervisors, crews and our Safety and Emergency Services Officers.

This is a hands-on, field-based role. You will spend your days in the work areas, not behind a desk, having the conversations that keep people safe across the processing plant, open pit, underground and mobile plant operations.

You will be part of a close-knit site team and will lead investigations, follow up hazards and help our supervisors build practical controls that work in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ICAM investigations from notification through to report and recommendations
• Manage hazard and event records in INX, and follow actions through to closure
• Complete workplace inspections, audits and verification of critical controls
• Support the Mine Safety Management System, including procedures, risk assessments and management plans
• Work with contractors to confirm their safety systems and monitor activity on site

About You

We're Looking For Someone Who Brings

• At least two years in a similar health and safety advisory role in mining
• Exposure across surface and underground mining operations, with processing experience highly regarded
• An ICAM qualification and real experience leading investigations
• A health and safety qualification such as a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Experience using INX, or a similar safety management system
• A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver's licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance
