Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking a Health Professional (Scientist) to join the St George Lab in Kogarah on a permanent full-time basis. The role includes blood film morphology, transfusion testing and biochemical analyses, working as part of a 24-hour laboratory team.

You will collaborate with colleagues to maintain quality and timely reporting, adapt to rotating rosters, and meet professional standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Science or recognised equivalent.
• Eligible for professional membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS).
• Experience in a diagnostic laboratory with Australian industry experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Our culture of Medical Leadership drives excellence in patient care and service provision for our referring doctors.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Scientist to join our St George laboratory on a permanent full-time basis. The role will include blood film morphology, transfusion and biochemistry. The position will require you to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. Rostered hours will vary to cover the operational hours of a 24-hour laboratory.

Selection criteria

• Appropriately qualified - Degree in Medical Science or recognised equivalent.
• Eligible for professional membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists.
• Experience in a diagnostic laboratory with Australian industry experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work in a team environment without direct supervision.
• An understanding of quality control techniques.
• Proficient, motivated and highly organised with great attention to detail.
• Must be able to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
