Job summary

Zenergy Group is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our safety team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the senior safety lead, you will be the specialist for safety across a portfolio and standardize contractor safety processes.

You will implement, review and improve safety systems, administer prequalification, deliver risk management across projects, and coach leaders to lift safety capability. Travel to regional sites will be required.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in work health and safety, or equivalent experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and coaching skills, with confidence advising senior leaders.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including preparing safety documents and reports.
• Experience working within the construction industry is desirable.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work through operational problems collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assurance, compliance monitoring and risk management activities across project and operational work.
• Act as the escalation point for complex contractor safety matters, corrective actions and stakeholder issues.
• Analyse performance data and emerging trends, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Coach and advise directors, project managers and operational teams to lift safety capability.
• Prepare and present advice, reports and insights to senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel domestically to regional and remote sites as required.

A new and exiting opportunity has arisen within our clients greater Safety team. Reporting to the senior safety lead, you will be the specialist for safety across a particular portfolio. The role has no direct reports. This is an initial 12 month fixed term hire opportunity.
