Job summary

Zenergy Group is partnering with a leading infrastructure contractor to deliver major renewable energy and infrastructure projects in regional NSW. We are seeking Health and Safety Advisors to join permanent roles, offering competitive base salary, and a 2/1 FIFO/DIDO roster with living away from home arrangements.

You will report to the Health and Safety Manager and provide hands-on safety support across a large construction environment, conducting inspections, investigations and risk

Qualifications

• Certificate IV, Diploma or equivalent in Work Health and Safety or related field.
• Experience as Health and Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor or Safety Coordinator.
• 3+ years of relevant construction safety experience preferred.
• Experience across civil construction, infrastructure, renewables or utilities is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of incident investigations, risk assessments and contractor management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands-on safety support across construction teams and high-risk site activities.
• Build relationships with project managers, supervisors and subcontractors to promote safety culture.
• Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments and corrective action management.
• Undertake workplace inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Review and support SWMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety communications.
• Support maintenance and improvement of project safety management systems.
• Monitor contractor compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to identify operational risks and implement practical safety solutions.

Zenergy is partnering with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit Health and Safety Advisors for a major renewable energy and infrastructure project in regional NSW.

About the Role

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide hands‑on safety support across a large-scale construction environment, working closely with project management, supervisors, subcontractors and frontline personnel.

You will support safety performance through site inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, training and ongoing assurance activities, while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture.

These positions will suit practical, approachable safety professionals who enjoy being visible on site, building strong relationships and contributing to the safe delivery of complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands‑on safety support across construction teams and high‑risk site activities.
• Build strong relationships with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and frontline personnel to promote a positive safety culture.

• Work collaboratively with construction teams to identify operational risks and implement practical safety solutions.

About You

• Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in a Health and Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, Safety Coordinator or similar position.
• Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience across civil construction, major infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, transmission, substations or electrical construction highly regarded.
• Practical knowledge of high‑risk construction activities, incident investigations, risk assessments and contractor management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse project teams.
• A hands‑on, approachable attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a supportive safety team.
• Previous experience working on regional projects, FIFO/DIDO rosters or remote construction sites advantageous.
• A trades or operational construction background would be highly regarded.
• Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights.
