Job summary

RAFI URBNSURF, part of Applejack Hospitality, in Sydney Olympic Park, is hiring Head Waitstaff for its premium dining venue. The role focuses on providing high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment, upholding company standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Successful candidates will lead a team, coordinate with kitchen and bar, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a comparable restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service including wine and cocktails.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders with knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.
