Epping Boys High School is part of the NSW Department of Education and seeks applicants for Head Teacher positions. The role focuses on literacy and numeracy teaching methodologies, data-driven improvement, and leading instructional change across faculty areas to enhance student outcomes.

Applicants must hold NSW teacher approval and demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration with senior staff, and capacity to support wellbeing and learning across the school community.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of current and evidence-based literacy and/or numeracy teaching methodologies and experience in developing explicit programmes across all faculty areas that meet the diverse needs of students leading to improved learning outcomes
• Strong skills in the utilisation of data to implement the school’s targeted small group tuition program.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire early career teachers to build capacity and manage the accreditation process.
• Demonstrated visible leadership with the capacity to work collaboratively with the school leadership team to deliver whole school PL, driving whole school improvement linked to the School Excellence Plan.
• Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
