Job summary

The Ponds High School in the Sydney region is seeking a Head Teacher Teaching and Learning to lead EAL/D, literacy and numeracy initiatives and to drive whole-school professional learning across years 7–12.

The role partners with senior executive and the other Head Teacher Teaching and Learning to monitor student progress, support wellbeing, and advance inclusive teaching and learning. The school serves a diverse community with BYOD and strong arts and sports programs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage EAL/D processes and data collection.
• Ability to analyse NAPLAN and school-based assessment data to monitor student growth.
• Ability to develop, implement and evaluate whole-school professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teaching and Learning across years 7–12 with focus on literacy and numeracy.
• Collaborate with senior executives to drive whole-school improvement.
• Oversee EAL/D support, wellbeing initiatives and inclusive teaching programs.
• Analyse assessment data to evaluate effectiveness for diverse student groups.
