Job summary

The Ponds High School in The Ponds, Sydney's north-west, invites applications for a Head Teacher Teaching and Learning. The role works with senior executives to lead EAL/D, literacy and numeracy, and to drive whole-school professional learning.

You will contribute to strategies that support wellbeing, inclusive teaching, and the arts and sports programs while shaping literacy and numeracy goals for 2027. The school serves over 2400 students with diverse backgrounds and operates under NSW

Qualifications

Lead and improve teaching, learning and classroom practice.
Curriculum, assessment and student welfare knowledge; lead inclusive programs.
Educational leadership to manage performance of individuals and teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents.
Resource planning and equitable support for teaching and learning.
Commitment to Aboriginal education policy.
Lead EAL/D processes and targeted literacy/numeracy support.
Analyze NAPLAN and school data to monitor growth and effectiveness of support.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop whole-school professional learning.
