Job summary

The Onset Group in Sydney is seeking a Head of Product to lead its unsecured SME lending portfolio. This executive role shapes product strategy, pricing, risk and customer outcomes, working closely with the CEO and ELT to drive commercial performance.

Ideal candidates will have built lending products, managed portfolio profitability, and led product leadership within regulated lending environments. You will influence growth opportunities and investment priorities across the lending portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience with unsecured SME lending and related lending products.
• Strong understanding of lending economics, pricing and profitability.
• Ability to lead product strategy and portfolio direction at executive level.
• Experience with risk-based product development in regulated lending environments.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term product strategy and portfolio direction.
• Set investment priorities across the lending portfolio.
• Develop new lending products and customer propositions.
• Oversee product pricing, performance and portfolio optimisation.
• Balance customer outcomes with credit quality and profitability.
• Drive lifecycle decisions on investing, optimising, simplifying or retiring products.
• Align Product with Credit, Risk, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams.
• Strengthen governance and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
