Job summary

Moir Group in Melbourne, Australia, is seeking a General Manager Operations and Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain and operational performance as the business scales toward an $80M revenue target. The role requires balancing customer service, stock availability and cost efficiency while building scalable systems.

Reporting to the owners, you will shape procurement, inventory strategy, freight and logistics, and partner with suppliers to optimise terms, costs and working capital.

Qualifications

• Experience in importing, wholesale distribution or product-based businesses.
• Direct responsibility for international procurement and supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of overseas supplier relationships, shipping, customs and freight.
• Experience managing inventory-intensive operations including demand forecasting and stock turns.
• Experience with national distribution networks, warehousing and 3PL providers.
• Commercial acumen: supplier terms, freight costs and working capital impact margins.
• Data-driven mindset with experience improving systems, processes and supply chain visibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain: procurement, supplier management, demand planning and inventory.
• Coordinate inbound freight, warehousing, 3PL and manufacturing.
• Balance stock availability, service levels and working capital with cost efficiency.
• Lead the scale-up with structured processes, data visibility and governance.
