Job summary

General Pants Co is seeking a Head of Retail (South) to own the store experience and drive performance across Australia and New Zealand. You will report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership Team, leading by example to deliver results, set standards and partner across functions to grow the business.

You will spend real time on the shop floor with regional and store teams, shaping service, merchandising and brand storytelling while building a strong leadership bench and a scalable,

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years as Head of Retail or equivalent senior leader.
• Fashion, apparel or lifestyle retail experience at scale.
• Proven delivery of EBIT, sales, KPI and cost outcomes across a multi-site portfolio.
• Track record of turning stores and regions around through change and accountability.
• Strong commercial acumen across merchandise, planning and omni-channel retail.
• Genuinely customer centric with hands-on leadership and influence.
• Sound knowledge of WHS, employment obligations and retail compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the in-store customer experience in Australia and New Zealand across General Pants stores.
• Get on the floor and spend time with Regional, Area and Store teams to read the customer, obstacles and opportunities.
• Deliver sales, EBIT, gross margin and profit budgets at store and portfolio level and drive KPI performance.
• Turn around underperforming stores and regions with clear plans, owners and timelines.
• Protect margin through wage-to-sales, cost centres, stock loss and stocktake governance.
• Grow omni performance from store across ship from store, click and collect and returns.
• Lead network growth through new stores, refurbishments, relocations and property strategy.
• Coach the retail leadership team and build a succession pipeline.
• Ensure store safety and compliance alongside People & Culture and Operations.
