Job summary

Remitly Australia is seeking a Head of Operations to act as Chief Operating Officer for the Australian entity, overseeing operations in Australia and the ANZ region. The role is based in Sydney with APAC travel and requires ASIC/AUSTRAC compliance and governance expertise.

The candidate will own outsourcing governance, service performance, and customer experience outcomes while building resilient operations and reporting to the Board.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in fast-paced operational environments.
• Experience in tech/digital, fintech, or regulated financial services preferred.
• Proven leadership ability to attract, engage, and develop high performers.

Responsibilities

• Own outsourcing governance and manage outsourcing framework and SLAs.
• Oversee performance of outsourced services and regulatory reporting KPIs.
• Lead customer experience outcomes, complaints handling, and dispute resolution.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and operational resilience arrangements.
• Deliver quarterly Board and executive reporting and drive scalable operating models.
