Job summary

Protech in Brisbane is seeking an experienced payroll leader to own our national payroll function, supporting thousands of employees across Australia. You will lead a high-performing team to deliver accurate, compliant payroll and drive continuous improvement.

You will partner with key stakeholders, manage payroll governance and statutory obligations, and champion initiatives that improve efficiency and employee experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced payroll leader with a track record in high-volume environments.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop payroll teams.
• Knowledge of awards, EAs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Protech's national payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery.
• Manage and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering capability, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with key stakeholders to provide trusted payroll expertise and support.
• Drive payroll governance, compliance and risk management.
• Champion process improvements and system enhancements that improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Oversee key payroll reporting, audits and statutory obligations.
• Contribute to strategic payroll projects and broader business initiatives.
