Job summary

AccountAbility Recruitment is partnering with a leading national organisation to recruit an experienced National Payroll Manager. This role oversees end-to-end payroll operations for a large, geographically dispersed workforce and leads a team of seven payroll professionals.

You will ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and awards, while acting as the SAP Payroll expert and driving continuous improvement across the function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' payroll experience, ideally in a large organisation.
• Strong hands-on SAP Payroll experience is essential.
• Proven experience leading payroll teams.
• Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Experience managing large, multi-site payroll environments.
• Experience with payroll governance, reconciliations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 7 payroll professionals.
• Oversee end-to-end national payroll delivery for a large workforce.
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation.
• Act as SAP Payroll SME and support system improvements.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, statutory reporting and month-end processes.
• Resolve complex payroll issues including allowances and entitlements.
• Drive payroll governance, controls and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT to improve payroll service delivery.
• Support payroll integrations following acquisitions.
