Job summary

City of Canterbury Bankstown Council in Bankstown NSW is seeking a dynamic Team Leader Collections to lead the library's physical collections, overseeing development, acquisitions, cataloguing and evaluation, and guiding a high-performing team.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate community insights into collection strategies, manage budgets and contracts, and champion best practices in collection management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Science enabling ALIA membership or equivalent.
• Experience leading a multi-skilled team with coaching and performance management.
• Strong collection development, procurement, cataloguing and policy development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Collections Team through coaching, workforce planning and performance management.
• Oversee collection development, acquisitions, cataloguing and evaluation to stay relevant to community needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive collection strategies and promote library resources.
