Job summary

Town of Port Hedland is seeking an experienced Learning & Development leader to shape workforce capability, leadership development and talent management across the organisation. Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will lead a dedicated L&D team and drive strategic learning initiatives to support priorities and future readiness.

This hands-on leadership role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery, team leadership and stakeholder engagement to create a high-performing

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading people, programs or projects in L&D.
• Experience in succession planning, talent development or workforce capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Learning & Development team and oversee program delivery.
• Develop and implement strategic learning initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
• Partner with leaders to strengthen succession planning and career pathways.
• Drive leadership development and talent management across the Town.
• Provide specialist advice and coaching to leaders on capability gaps.
