Job summary

Profusion in Sydney seeks a senior technology leader to head the applications function for a growing insurance group. You will lead IT application services across underwriting, operations and claims, driving strategy, architecture and ongoing BAU delivery.

You will partner with executives to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions, align vendors and budgets, and develop high‑performing teams while ensuring risk and compliance controls across the application landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven senior technology leadership experience within General Insurance or underwriting agencies.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, underwriting, and claims environments.
• Experience leading technology delivery, governance and application services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team delivering IT application services across underwriting and insurance operations.
• Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across applications, delivery, and BAU.
• Manage end-to-end technology projects, enhancements, and integrations.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to translate requirements into technology solutions.
• Develop and execute an applications strategy focused on scalability and efficiency.
• Build and develop a high-performing applications team with talent development.
• Manage technology vendors and partnerships with strong service levels.
• Drive governance with risk, security, and compliance controls.
• Identify opportunities for platform consolidation, automation and AI-driven improvements.
