Job summary

Bundaberg RSL in Queensland is seeking an experienced Functions and Events Manager to lead the delivery and growth of our events program. This hands-on, customer-focused role requires evenings and weekends flexibility as you coordinate bookings, manage contracts, and deliver high-quality functions across multiple rooms.

You will supervise the events team, ensure service standards, and liaise with clients and suppliers to meet client expectations and Club standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience in a similar functions or events role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with event management systems (iVvy desirable).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for all functions and events enquiries.
• Manage bookings, contracts, invoicing, and follow-up processes.
• Maintain accurate event records using systems such as iVvy.
• Coordinate and respond to enquiries through direct action or delegation.
• Plan and deliver events in line with client expectations and Club standards.
• Lead and support event set-up, delivery, and pack-down.
• Assist the functions teams servicing the functions.
• Supervise and develop the functions and events team.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service standards.
• Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support other hospitality operations as required.
