Job summary

Pullman Sydney Airport is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead our Engineering team and ensure safety, comfort and operational excellence across the hotel.

You will oversee all maintenance programs, drive energy efficiency initiatives and manage contractors while maintaining strict compliance with WHS and fire safety requirements. This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise and proactive leadership to protect guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline.
• Experience leading an Engineering or Maintenance team in a large hotel, resort or similar complex.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services, preventative maintenance and hotel engineering operations.
• Demonstrated experience in contractor management, WHS and fire safety compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Willingness to respond to critical emergency maintenance outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the Engineering team to achieve high standards of performance and guest service.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and daily engineering activities.
• Ensure facilities and systems are maintained to the highest standards and respond to emergencies with minimal disruption.
• Oversee contractor safety, compliance and performance and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Develop energy efficiency, water conservation and sustainability initiatives and monitor CAPEX proposals.
