Job summary

The Shire of Exmouth seeks a Manager Development Services to lead Environmental Health, Town Planning and Building Services from Exmouth. You will provide leadership, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and shape development outcomes for the region.

You’ll work with the CEO and Council to support strategic decisions, manage budgets, and promote continuous improvement while engaging with stakeholders to deliver community-focused services.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, building, environmental health or regulatory services.
• Regional local government experience is desirable.
• Approved Environmental Health Officer qualification for WA is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Environmental Health, Town Planning and Building Services functions.
• Oversee service delivery, development approvals and regulatory compliance.
• Provide strategic advice to CEO and Council on development services matters.
• Develop and support a multidisciplinary team with a focus on collaboration.
• Manage priorities, budgets and resources to deliver effective services.
