Job summary
The Shire of Exmouth is seeking a capable leader to become Manager Development Services, overseeing Environmental Health, Town Planning and Building Services in Exmouth. You will report to the CEO, provide strategic direction, lead a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets and drive service improvements while delivering community-focused outcomes for the regional town.
Experience in WA local government and environmental health or planning will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Experience in planning, building, environmental health or regulatory services.
- Regional local government leadership experience is preferred.
- WA Environmental Health Officer qualification highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Lead Environmental Health, Town Planning and Building Services functions.
- Oversee development approvals and regulatory compliance with staff.
- Provide strategic advice to CEO and Council on development services matters.
- Support and develop a multidisciplinary team, manage priorities, budgets and resources.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve community outcomes.
