Job summary

Nuix is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to own and grow the Developer Experience function. You will lead a small team acting as an internal product team for engineering, building tooling, standards, automation, and workflows that speed and safe-guard software delivery for ~100 engineers.

This hybrid Sydney-based role focuses on defining what great looks like across the developer toolchain and turning multi-day setup processes into one-command experiences, while steering AI-enabled tooling

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading platform, developer experience, DevOps, or engineering enablement teams in a software product company.
• Strong hands-on background in CI/CD, repository management, artifact management, testing automation, and developer workflow design.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git-based workflows, artifact repositories, and code quality/security scanning tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the developer platform strategy across all engineering teams.
• Build and maintain standardised repository templates with CI pipelines, testing, linting, security scanning and documentation scaffolding.
• Design and operate artifact repository strategy and developer usability.
• Drive automation for release notes and changelog generation using metadata.
• Lead AI-enabled development lifecycle adoption, governance, and measurement.
