Job summary

Nuix Limited, based in Sydney, is seeking a software engineer to build web services using modern technologies across frontend and backend stacks. You can choose to focus in TypeScript/React/Redux or Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and AWS in Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with any modern web tech stack.
• Knowledge or desire to work on Java, TypeScript, Kubernetes projects.
• Experience or level of understanding of modern cloud-based solutions, ideally on AWS stack.

Responsibilities

• Be an active contributor to all team activities during the entire software life cycle.
• Work closely with product owners during discovery step to set up the goals and metrics for a successful launch of the feature or component.
• Contribute to and/or lead software architecture and design of the features and components we build.
• Work on customer requests, helping the team and stakeholders to prioritise the improvements and additions to our product.

Role Overview

We are looking for a software engineer with good understanding and experience building web services using modern technologies. We have a cross-functional team, so the candidate will be able to pick for themselves either to work in TypeScript, React, Redux to make frontend components, build services in Java 17 & Java 21, Spring boot with managed DBs and services in AWS, or spin them up in one of our Kubernetes clusters.

Location

This position will be based in our Sydney office. We have one or two days a week which teams usually elect for themselves to attend the office.
