Job summary

Nuix in Sydney is building a new AI engineering team focused on Nuix Neo. This leadership role owns Enrich data enrichment capabilities and guides the AI mandate across the platform, blending internal models with off-the-shelf tooling for both on-prem and SaaS deployments.

You will lead Sydney, Ukraine, and US engineers and data scientists, accountable for delivery, team health, and ways of working in a distributed setup.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Proven engineering management experience leading geographically distributed teams.
• Experience delivering products across on-prem and SaaS (Kubernetes-based).
• Technically credible across a modern stack (Java, Python, React/TypeScript).
• Strong track record in delivery management and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-timezone team (Australia, Ukraine, US) and manage hiring, onboarding and performance.
• Own delivery and plan roadmaps with product managers to ship high-quality software across on-prem and SaaS.
• Collaborate with Product Manager to translate strategy into a viable, sequenced roadmap; advise on feasibility and trade-offs for AI initiatives.
• Establish effective ways of working for a globally distributed team with healthy overlap.
• Ensure engineering quality and security outcomes; address code and vulnerability scans.
• Stay technically involved to review designs and contribute to direction without being on the critical path.
