Job summary

icare NSW is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead the enterprise compliance oversight and monitoring function, ensuring the organisation meets its legal, regulatory and policy obligations through robust frameworks and assurance activities.

Reporting to the General Manager Risk & Compliance, the role provides Line 2 oversight of compliance risk across the organisation, delivering actionable insights that strengthen governance, control environments and performance.

• Lead and develop a high performing Enterprise Compliance function to deliver consistent and high-quality compliance outcomes.
• Ensure the effective implementation and consistent application of the Compliance Management Framework across icare.
• Lead the creation, execution and evolution of the Compliance function's objectives and deliverables.
• Lead the development and execution of a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance program.
• Ensure monitoring outcomes are analysed, reported and used to strengthen control effectiveness.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to uplift compliance performance and culture.

About the Role

The Head of Compliance is responsible for leading the enterprise compliance oversight and monitoring function, ensuring icare meets its legal, regulatory and policy obligations through the consistent application of compliance frameworks, controls and assurance activities.

Reporting to the General Manager Risk & Compliance, the role provides Line 2 oversight of compliance risk across the organisation. The role ensures that compliance risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored and reported, while delivering actionable insights that strengthen governance, control environments and organisational performance.

Duties

It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Head of Compliance you will:

• Lead and develop a high performing Enterprise Compliance function to deliver consistent and high-quality compliance outcomes.
• Ensure the effective implementation and consistent application of the Compliance Management Framework across icare. Provide Line 2 oversight to ensure obligations, controls and frameworks are appropriately embedded and operating effectively.
• Lead the creation, execution and evolution of the Compliance functions objectives and deliverables, aligned to the overall business strategy.
• Lead the development and execution of a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance program, ensuring key obligations and controls are tested and validated.
• Ensure outcomes of monitoring activities are analysed, reported and used to strengthen control effectiveness.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders to influence and uplift compliance performance and culture.
