Job summary

Indie Campers in Sydney seeks a depot Operations Assistant with a passion for customer service. You will be the face of Indie Campers at the Sydney depot, delivering top care to guests and ensuring campervans remain neat and ready.

Qualifications

• Experience in tourism, hospitality, retail or rent-a-car is desirable.
• Eligible to work in Australia with a valid driver's license.
• Available to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle reservations, welcome guests, and manage check-ins/outs.
• Oversee fleet logistics and campervan maintenance.
• Train, supervise, and coach depot team members.
• Manage bookings, stock, suppliers and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints and emergencies to keep operations smooth.
• Prepare and clean campervans for departures.
• Assist in reselling campervans and showing units to buyers.

THE ROLE

We're looking for people with an outstanding customer service passion for our depot in Sydney. You'll be the face of a role model for our company, reporting directly to the Operations Director, with the goal of demonstrating top customer care, maintaining the fleet of campervans in neat conditions, and showing accountability of each important instance that need to be led to ensure flawlessly functioning of the depot.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs;
• Taking care of the fleet, logistics, and making sure our campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and repairing need;
• Assist in Training, supervising, and coaching your team;
• Booking activities control, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services;
• Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue that may arise to make sure operations run smoothly;
• Preparing and cleaning our campervans;
• Assisting in reselling campervans, preparing and showing them to prospective buyers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers, with experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car being desirable;
• You have great communication skills and feel comfortable speaking directly with customers;
• You're eligible to work in Australia, have a valid driver's license and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You're available to work weekends and national holidays;
• You're a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon;
• You're well-organized and you're good at solving problems.
