Job summary

Indie Campers in Cairns is seeking a frontline depot coordinator with a passion for travel and customer service. You will greet guests, handle check-ins/outs, supervise the depot team, and ensure campervans are clean, well-maintained, and ready for the next booking.

You will coordinate fleet logistics, manage local suppliers, and respond promptly to issues to keep operations running smoothly. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and a valid Australian driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent‑a‑car is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage directly with customers.
• Eligible to work in Australia with a valid driver’s license and willingness to drive campervans.
• Available to work weekends and national holidays.
• Well-organized and reliable with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations, welcome guests, and manage check-ins/outs.
• Maintain fleet, monitor maintenance, and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Assist in training, supervising, and coaching the team.
• Manage bookings, stock, local suppliers, and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints or emergencies to keep operations running smoothly.
• Prepare and clean campervans.
• Assist in reselling campervans to prospective buyers.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for people with an outstanding customer service passion for our depot in Cairns. You’ll be the face of a role model for our company, reporting directly to the APAC Area Operations Manager, with the goal of demonstrating top customer care, maintaining the fleet of campervans in neat conditions, and showing accountability of each important instance that need to be led to ensure flawlessly functioning of the depot.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check‑ins and check‑outs;
• Taking care of the fleet, logistics, and making sure our campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and repairing need;
• Assist in Training, supervising, and coaching your team;
• Booking activities control, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services;
• Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue that may arise to make sure operations run smoothly;
• Preparing and cleaning our campervans;
• Assisting in reselling campervans, preparing and showing them to prospective buyers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers, with experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent‑a‑car being desirable;
• You have great communication skills and feel comfortable speaking directly with customers;
• You’re eligible to work in Australia, have a valid driver’s license and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You’re available to work weekends and national holidays;
• You’re a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon;
• You’re well‑organized and you’re good at solving problems.
