Job summary

Indie Campers is hiring for a depot role in Hobart, Tasmania. You will be the face of the brand, ensuring high-quality customer care, managing campervan fleet upkeep, and supporting daily operations at the Hobart depot.

The role involves guest check-ins/outs, fleet maintenance oversight, training support, bookings control, and handling local issues to keep operations running smoothly. Weekend work is expected, with opportunities to grow within a fast-moving, international campervan company.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort talking with customers.
• Eligible to work in Australia, with a valid driver's license and ability to drive a campervan.
• Available to work weekends and national holidays.
• Reliable, responsible and well-organized with good problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations, check-ins and check-outs.
• Maintain fleet condition and monitor maintenance/repairs.
• Assist in training, supervising and coaching the team.
• Manage bookings, stock, suppliers and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints and local issues to keep operations running smoothly.
• Prepare and clean campervans for trips and customers.
• Assist in reselling campervans and showing to prospective buyers.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for people with an outstanding customer service passion for our depot in Hobart - Tasmania. You’ll be the face of a role model for our company, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, with the goal of demonstrating top customer care, maintaining the fleet of campervans in neat conditions, and showing accountability of each important instance that need to be led to ensure flawlessly functioning of the depot.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs;
• Taking care of the fleet, logistics, and making sure our campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and repairing need;
• Assist in Training, supervising, and coaching your team;
• Booking activities control, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services;
• Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue that may arise to make sure operations run smoothly;
• Preparing and cleaning our campervans;
• Assisting in reselling campervans, preparing and showing them to prospective buyers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers, with experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car being desirable;
• You have great communication skills and feel comfortable speaking directly with customers;
• You’re eligible to work in Australia, have a valid driver's license and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You’re available to work weekends and national holidays;
• You’re a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon;
• You’re well-organized and you’re good at solving problems.
