Job summary

GT Insurance is seeking a seasoned Head of Assessing & Supply Chain to steer the performance and strategic direction of our assessing and supplier networks. You will drive sustainable claims cost outcomes while upholding repair quality, compliance and customer experience.

Reporting to the COO, you will build and govern supplier relationships, monitor operational metrics, and lead transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and digital capability across the network.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within motor insurance.
• Current Australian driver’s licence is essential.
• ANZIIF or equivalent qualification highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in motor claims, assessing, repair management or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of repair methodologies, industry standards and supplier management.

As the Head of Assessing & Supply Chain, you will provide strategic leadership across assessing operations, supplier partnerships and supply chain performance. About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the strategic direction and performance of assessing and supply chain functions.
• Driving sustainable claims cost outcomes while maintaining high standards of repair quality, compliance and customer experience.
• Developing and implementing supplier management strategies that optimise performance, service delivery and commercial outcomes.
• Overseeing supplier governance, accountability and performance frameworks across the assessing and repair network.
• Monitoring and analyse operational performance through key metrics, customer feedback, quality reviews and business insights.
• Provide leadership and technical oversight on complex claims, assessment quality, repair methodologies and escalated matters.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with repairers, assessors, service providers and key industry stakeholders.
• Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance claims performance, digital capability and operational efficiency.
• Partnering with Allianz and internal stakeholders to support portfolio performance, risk management and governance outcomes.
• Building organisational capability through coaching and performance development.
• Support strategic business initiatives and contribute towards the achievement of organisational objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Significant leadership experience within motor insurance is essential.
• A current Australian driver's licence is essential
• Relevant industry qualifications, including ANZIIF or equivalent, will be highly regarded.
• Extensive experience within motor claims, assessing, repair management or supply chain operations, together with a strong understanding of the motor repair industry.
• Strong knowledge of repair methodologies, industry standards, supplier management and claims practices.
• Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing teams, supplier networks or senior stakeholders.
• Proven success in managing strategic partnerships, supplier performance frameworks and commercial negotiations.
• Strong commercial mindset and the ability to balance customer outcomes, operational performance and sustainable financial results.
• Experience leading change, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within complex operational environments.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
