Job summary

Thales Australia is seeking a strategic Head of Accounting to lead a critical finance function during a period of significant transformation. You will oversee the integrity of financial operations, including reporting, general ledger and balance sheet governance.

Based in West Sydney, you will grow onshore and offshore teams, drive finance transformation, ERP implementation (Oracle preferred), strengthen controls and partner with senior leaders to influence business performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Proven leadership across accounting operations and shared services.
• Experience managing offshore or BPO delivery partners.

Located in West Sydney's Rydalmere, on Darug land, your role purpose will be –

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:

• - Track Record in experience in financial and transactional accounting underpinned by deep knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards
• - Proven leadership experience across accounting operations and shared services environments
• - Experience managing offshore or BPO delivery partners
• - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
• - A track record of driving process improvement, automation and operational excellence
• - ERP transformation experience (Oracle highly regarded)CA or CPA qualification
