Job summary

International Grammar School (IGS) in Sydney invites applications for Head of Academic Care to commence in Term 1 2027 for one term. The role leads Disability Provisions in a secondary setting, ensuring compliance with NESA procedures and coordinating assessment accommodations, including NAPLAN adjustments.

The successful candidate will oversee NCCD data collection and contribute to a child-safe, inclusive learning community with ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Disability Provisions within a secondary school setting.
• Ensuring compliance with NESA procedures and the implementation of appropriate assessment accommodations.
• Experience coordinating adjustments for students with disability in assessments (e.g., NAPLAN).
• Ability to supervise collecting student disability data for NCCD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Head of Academic Care role to support equitable, inclusive learning.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements (NESA) for assessments and accommodations.
• Coordinate and monitor adjustments for students with disability during assessments, including NAPLAN.
• Oversee data collection and reporting for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).

We are seeking a qualified and passionate leader for the Head of Academic Care role to commence in Term 1 2027 for one term.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience managing Disability Provisions within a secondary school setting, including ensuring compliance with NESA procedures and the implementation of appropriate assessment accommodations. Experience coordinating adjustments for students with disability participating in NAPLAN and other assessments. The successful applicant will also have the ability to supervise the collection of student disability data for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
