Job summary

Placed Recruitment is partnering with a brand-new Latin wood-fire restaurant opening in Darwin in January 2027. The Head Chef will develop opening menus with the owner, set up the kitchen, build and lead the team, and drive a high-standard food program by the water.

You will oversee a warm, earthy dining environment with bold Latin flavours and a relaxed service style, while shaping a kitchen that supports long lunches and celebratory dinners by the sea.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen through busy service.
• Proven ability to open and manage a wood-fired kitchen.
• Passion for Latin flavours and live-fire cooking.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up kitchen for a brand-new restaurant.
• Develop opening menus in collaboration with owner.
• Lead from the pass and train the kitchen team.
