Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead Jubilee Tavern in Airlie Beach, Whitsundays. After a major renovation, the venue features a new bistro, sports bar and beer garden, ready for a standout food offer and high-volume operations.

You'll mentor a kitchen team, manage costs, and create seasonal specials while delivering quality pub favourites. This hands-on leadership role offers lifestyle benefits in a tropical Queensland locale with career progression across AVC’s 250+

Lead the Kitchen at One of the Whitsundays' Newly Renovated Local Favourites An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Jubilee Tavern, located in the heart of the stunning Whitsundays. Following a major renovation, the venue has entered an exciting new chapter, unveiling a brand-new bistro, sports bar and beer garden while continuing to cement itself as one of Airlie Beach's favourite family-friendly locals. We're looking for a passionate leader who is ready to take ownership of the kitchen, inspire a talented team, and bring fresh ideas to an already thriving venue. This is your chance to make your mark in a newly transformed space while enjoying the incredible Whitsundays lifestyle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, mentor and develop a passionate kitchen team

• Work alongside the Venue Manager to deliver an exceptional food offering

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up
• Strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for coaching and developing others
• Sound financial acumen, including labour and cost control
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• A hands-on leader who leads by example
• Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences
