Job summary

G'day Group is seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy, high‑quality kitchen across our Australian holiday park network. You will ensure food is prepared to the highest standard, manage stock and costs, and uphold HSE and HACCP practices.

The role requires formal trade qualifications, strong leadership, and the ability to train kitchen staff; accommodation meals are provided and you’ll operate in a dynamic guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Head Chef experience in a similar commercial environment.
• Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent.
• Experience with electronic purchase ordering and cost management.
• Proven experience in planning and developing menus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting food to a consistently high standard.
• Adhering to all HSE policies, procedures, and safe food handling practices.
• Accommodating dietary requirements, including allergies and special guest requests.
• Managing stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking.
• Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen, along with all equipment and utensils.
• Creating dishes of exceptional quality that nourish and delight our guests.
• Delivering fast, effective service with a positive and professional attitude.
• Assisting in overseeing kitchen employees, including training and performance development.
