The Gawler Arms Hotel in Gawler is seeking a Chef to join our kitchen team. The position is fulltime or casual, with a salary range of $70,000–$80,000 depending on experience.

You will prepare and cook a wide range of modern Australian Bistro dishes and uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene. Key duties include managing stock, liaising with suppliers, training junior kitchen staff, and assisting the Head Chef with cost controls.

Formación

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Two years of experience in a fast-paced bistro environment.
• Ability to work across a seven day roster.

Responsabilidades

• Upholding exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes typical of a modern Australian Bistro.
• Keep the kitchen and equipment immaculate.
• Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers to maintain stock.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff and foster a collaborative kitchen environment.
• Assist Head Chef in managing wages and cost of goods.
