Description du poste

Our client is a large NSW Government organisation undertaking a significant, multi-year transformation of its Human Capital Management (HCM) environment.
The program is entering an important phase, with renewed executive direction and a focus on establishing a sustainable future operating model for HR services, processes, data and ways of working.
This is a business-led transformation rather than a conventional technology implementation. The program is currently technology-agnostic, with future HCM technology options to be considered once business requirements and the future operating model are better defined.
Role Description:
The HCM Transformation PMO will support the effective coordination, governance and oversight of a complex transformation program spanning multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
Working closely with program leadership, workstream leads and business stakeholders, the role will help maintain program plans, reporting, governance artefacts, risks, issues, dependencies and actions. The successful candidate will support clear visibility of program progress, facilitate timely decision-making and ensure that governance and reporting requirements are consistently met.
The role requires strong PMO discipline, attention to detail and the ability to work across a changing program environment where priorities, dependencies and business requirements may evolve as the transformation progresses.
Responsibilities include:

  • Support day-to-day PMO operations across the HCM transformation program
  • Maintain integrated program plans, milestones, deliverables and workstream schedules
  • Coordinate program governance forums, steering committee meetings and working groups
  • Prepare agendas, papers, presentations, minutes, action logs and decision registers
  • Consolidate progress updates from workstream leads and prepare accurate program status reports
  • Monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and actions, escalating matters requiring management attention
  • Maintain RAID logs and support the development and monitoring of mitigation strategies
  • Track program deliverables, decisions, commitments and outstanding actions
  • Support resource planning, budget tracking and financial reporting where required
  • Coordinate inputs from business, technology, data, change and transformation teams
  • Assist with governance frameworks, reporting templates, processes and PMO standards
  • Ensure program documentation is accurate, current, accessible and appropriately controlled
  • Support preparation of executive updates, steering committee papers and evidence-based reporting
  • Identify gaps in reporting, governance or delivery coordination and recommend improvements
  • Support change control, dependency management and the assessment of impacts on program milestones
  • Work collaboratively with program leadership to maintain delivery discipline across multiple workstreams
  • Provide proactive follow-up to ensure actions, decisions and reporting requirements are completed on time

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in a PMO, Senior PMO Analyst, PMO Lead or program coordination role within a complex transformation program
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale business transformation, operating model or enterprise change initiatives
  • Strong program planning, scheduling, reporting and governance coordination skills
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, steering committee papers and governance documentation
  • Strong capability in risk, issue, action and dependency management
  • Experience consolidating reporting across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments where priorities and requirements may change
  • Experience maintaining integrated plans, milestone trackers, decision registers and RAID logs
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify delivery concerns and elevate issues appropriately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project planning or reporting tools advantageous
  • Experience in HCM, HRIS, HR transformation or workforce transformation programs highly desirable
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations with multiple governance layers advantageous
  • NSW Government or large public sector experience highly desirable
  • Experience supporting senior executives, program directors and steering committees advantageous
  • Exposure to enterprise technology or SaaS transformation programs, including SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM, beneficial but not essential

What will make you successful?
The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised PMO professional who can bring structure, visibility and discipline to a complex transformation program.
You will be comfortable coordinating information across multiple workstreams, maintaining accurate governance and reporting artefacts, following up on actions and highlighting risks before they become significant delivery issues.
You will understand that effective PMO support is more than producing reports. It requires strong judgement, stakeholder engagement and the ability to provide program leadership with clear, timely and reliable information to support decisions and maintain delivery momentum.
