Job summary

Merkanooka Haulage in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Haulage Supervisor for Mt Magnet on a 2/1 roster. This permanent full-time role offers a competitive salary plus super on all hours and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in a mine site-based Haulage Supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to liaise with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, Schedule 26.

Responsibilities

• Provide open, effective & efficient leadership to crews of Workshop Leading Hands, Leading Hands, Road Train Operators, Watercart, Grader & Loader Operators, Safety Personnel, all Workshop Personnel & Site Administrators.
• Safeguard daily operations to ensure production is achieved in a safe and proficient manner.
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with client and sub-contractors.
• Lead positively & work collaboratively to maintain fleet availability.
• Promote and uphold a positive approach to safety.
• Communicate effectively with your team ensuring a constructive, safe and productive work environment.
• Provide comprehensive reporting to management on haulage achievements, challenges and improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide open, effective & efficient leadership to crews of Workshop Leading Hands, Leading Hands, Road Train Operators, Watercart, Grader & Loader Operators, Safety Personnel, all Workshop Personnel & Site Administrators
• Safeguard daily operations to ensure production is achieved in a safe and proficient manner
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with our client and sub-contractors
• Lead positively & work collaboratively to maintain our fleets availability
• Actively participate in promoting and upholding our positive approach to safety
• Communicate effectively with your team ensuring a constructive, positive, safe and productive work environment
• Provide comprehensive reporting to management team on haulage achievements, challenges and improvements

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess the following:

• 3-5+ years prior experience in a similar mine site-based Haulage Supervisory role with a knowledge of load & haul, road maintenance and transport operations
• Enjoy working in a team environment where you bring your professionalism and your positive attitude to our crew
• Confident communication and ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
• WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Appointment
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Must hold full Australian working rights
