Job summary

Rio Tinto is partnering with Chandler Macleod to recruit a CAT 777 Dump Truck Operator for on-site work at Gove, NT. FIFO from Cairns and Darwin with an 8/6 roster and safety-focused team.

You will support daily mining operations, perform pre-starts, transport ore and waste, and contribute to safe, reliable outcomes while reporting hazards and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating CAT 777 (or similar mining haul trucks).
• Previous mine site / production mining experience (highly regarded).
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dedication to safety and following site procedures.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate Caterpillar 777 haul trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-starts and routine equipment checks.
• Haul ore/waste in line with mine plans, procedures and production schedules.
• Report hazards, defects, near-misses and incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate operational records and support a strong safety culture.

Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced CAT 777 Dump Truck Operator to support day-to-day mining operations in the Gove region, NT.

This is a great opportunity to join a safety-focused team working on site with Rio Tinto. You'll work alongside experienced crews, supporting production targets while contributing to safe and reliable outcomes.

Reporting to the site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Caterpillar 777 haul trucks safely and efficiently
• Conducting pre-starts and routine equipment checks
• Hauling ore/waste in line with mine plans, procedures and production schedules
• Reporting hazards, defects, near-misses and incidents promptly

About You
