Job summary

Fonegalaxy is seeking a dedicated Hardware Technician at our Manly store to diagnose, repair and service laptops, tablets and phones, ensuring reliable performance and customer satisfaction while adhering to safety standards.

You will manage repair tools and parts inventory, perform post-repair tests, document work for warranty purposes, and advise customers on preventing future issues.

Minimum 1 year of hardware repair experience and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Hardware Technician or similar
• Experience with multiple brands is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems in laptops, tablets and phones.
• Maintain, adjust and repair hardware components across devices.

Fonegalaxy Manly (Axis Asset Group Pty Ltd) is a hardware device repair and accessories retail business. We primarily provide repair and servicing solutions for a wide range of electronic devices, including mobile phones, laptops, computers and tablets. Our services include hard drive replacements, screen repairs, virus and spyware removal, memory upgrades, operating system reinstallation and other hardware-related repairs. At our Manly store, we are committed to providing reliable and high-quality technical solutions to ensure our customers’ devices operate smoothly and efficiently. We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Technician to join our team and support the ongoing repair and servicing requirements of the business.

Employment type: Full-time

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems in different hardware devices such as laptops, computers, iPad, watches and tablets.
• Maintain, adjust and repair a variety of hardware components in the devices such as tablets, laptops, computer monitors and mobile phones.
• Dissemble devices and conduct thorough inspections to determine the exact nature of the fault in the devices.
• Deploy (install, configure, test) new and improved hardware to ensure smooth functionality of the devices.
• Install, download and upgrade appropriate software to improve efficiency hardware equipment.
• Manage and properly maintain the inventory of repair tools, parts and components.
• Run comprehensive tests on devices after repairs to ensure all systems function correctly.
• Perform post-repair tests to verify the quality of work to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical guidance, advice and assistance to customers to prevent further malfunctions, issues and repairs.
• Document repair work accurately and maintain records for future reference or warranty purposes.
• Ensure all repairs are performed in a timely manner, meeting both quality standards and customer expectations according to OHS regulations.
• Keeping up with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve repair processes and service quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Hardware Technician in a related field.
