Job summary

EVT is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team on the Gold Coast. You’ll handle general repairs across the property, cover plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, and respond to urgent callouts to keep rooms and public areas well presented.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in general maintenance or trade work, ideally in hospitality.
• Practical skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Strong problem solving ability and attention to detail.
• A reliable, hands on approach with good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• A positive attitude aligned with values of teamwork, initiative, and community.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs across the hotel, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment fixes.
• Complete room and property inspections and action maintenance issues quickly.
• Respond to urgent callouts and resolve problems such as leaks, electrical faults, and HVAC issues.
• Maintain safety standards, report hazards, and support routine safety checks.
• Keep tools and supplies organised and ensure stock is replenished.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well presented property for guests and staff
