Job summary

Sheraton Port Douglas is seeking a Maintenance Handyperson to maintain the property, guest rooms, and public areas, and to support the Engineering and Maintenance team with day-to-day tasks. You will handle inquiries, perform repairs, and help create memorable guest experiences to drive future bookings.

Ideal candidates will have relevant maintenance experience in hotels or facilities, hold Australian working rights, and be self-motivated with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary:

• Responsible to complete general maintenance and upkeep of the property, guest rooms and public areas


• Support the Engineering and Maintenance team with general operational tasks


• Handle general enquiries, creating meaningful guest experiences that are tailored to the guest's' requirements


• Actively conduct repairs to the building and equipment


• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests through engaging experiences and thoughtful service, enabling future bookings

About You:

• Relevant experience in general maintenance, property maintenance in hotels, facilities, residential or commercial.
