Core Talent is supporting an established food manufacturer in Ingleburn NSW to hire three trade-qualified Process Technicians (Mechanical/Electrical) for a brand-new automated packing line. Positions available across Day, Afternoon and Night shifts.

You will run the line, perform routine servicing, and troubleshoot faults to keep the line running at peak efficiency. You will manage alarms, set-ups, changeovers, and CCP/HACCP records while maintaining high food-safety standards.

Competenze

• Trade-qualified with NSW Electrical Licence and dual-trade preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting automated packing machinery in FMCG.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and service gear.

Hands-On Process Technicians (Mechanical / Electrical) – Automated Packing Line

About the OpportunityOur client, an established food manufacturing business based in Ingleburn, is making significant investments in site automation and expanding production capabilities with a brand-new automated packing line.
To support this expansion, we are seeking three (3x) trade-qualified Process Technicians across Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts (one technician per shift). In this role, you will take hands-on ownership of this high-speed line—running the equipment daily, performing routine servicing, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring continuous line efficiency while upholding high food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-On Operation: Safely operate equipment via HMIs, manage product changeovers, respond to alarms, and monitor performance trends.
• Fault Finding & Maintenance: Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues across conveyors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, reject gates, and hot-melt glue systems. (Major overhaul support provided by the wider maintenance team).
• Asset Care: Drive basic daily preventive maintenance, including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CIL) across your designated line.
• Quality & Food Safety: Handle X-ray/metal detector rejects according to strict CCP/HACCP protocols, conduct quality checks, and maintain accurate records.

What You Bring

• Trade Qualification: Cert III Mechanical (Fitter) and/or Cert III Electrotechnology with a current NSW Electrical Licence. (Dual-trade qualifications are highly regarded).
• FMCG Experience: Proven track record troubleshooting automated packing machinery in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
• Technical Skills: Safe isolation discipline, ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics, and hands-on familiarity with pneumatics, drives, conveyors, and sensors.
• Compliance Mindset: Strong working knowledge of HACCP, CCP monitoring, and foreign-object control protocols.
• Attitude & Flexibility: A proactive, "sleeves-up" approach to machine care, with the flexibility to work shifts and weekends as part of a 7-day operational roster (with notice).
