Job summary

Anton Industrial Services is a hands-on maintenance provider for fast-paced production facilities. You will diagnose and repair faults, perform preventative maintenance, and support equipment upgrades to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires mechanical trade qualifications and strong fault-finding skills, with opportunities across day and night shifts. Overtime may apply as projects require, contributing to equipment reliability and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Fitting & Turning or equivalent.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is highly regarded.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on production and site equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support equipment installations, changeovers, and line adjustments.
• Maintain maintenance records and safety standards.

Job description

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced Facility where you will be the go-to person for resolving equipment issues quickly and safely, helping to keep our production operations running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on production, packaging and site equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance, inspections and scheduled servicing
• Troubleshooting conveyors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Supporting automated filling, packing, sealing and stacking equipment
• Fitting, machining, fabricating and modifying components as required
• Supporting production changeovers, machine set‑ups and line adjustments
• Assisting with upcoming equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects
• Completing maintenance records and work orders accurately in line with HACCP & GMP programs
• Contributing to continuous improvement, reliability and downtime reduction initiatives
• Manage critical spare parts to support reliable operations and minimise equipment downtime
• Communication with other areas in relation to day to day operations.

About you

• Australian recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning or equivalent
• FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or continuous production experience highly regarded
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and equipment documentation
• Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities a must
• Reliable, punctual and committed to working safely
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with-in a team environment

1x Permanent Day shift Position hours Monday to Friday, with overtime available as required
