Job summary

JobAdder Operations Pty in Ipswich (Riverview) is seeking a hands-on Supervisor to lead a trades team at our modular construction manufacturing facility. You will mentor carpenters, coordinate daily production activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will oversee up to 15 employees and labour hire, drive productivity and quality, read construction drawings, and promote a positive safety culture on the floor.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry, Cabinet Making or Joinery.
• Experience as Supervisor, Leading Hand or Foreman in construction, building products, manufacturing, modular construction or related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality and delivery targets.
• Supervise a team of tradespeople and production staff.
• Coordinate multiple trades to keep projects on track.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity and quality standards.
• Assist with production planning, scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Maintain production, quality and safety records.
• Promote a positive safety culture and develop team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
