Job summary

2XM Recruit is seeking a trade-qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter for a hands-on role with weekday hours in Western Sydney. This opportunity offers current-day work on a range of equipment used in pipeline infrastructure projects and a path from a temporary contract to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, or Mechanical Fitter is required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential for this hands-on role.
• Able to work across a range of equipment and machinery.
• Proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on diverse equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults to minimise downtime.
• Complete inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Repair and replace mechanical components as required.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to safe and reliable standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to support daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
