Job summary

Maxwell Recruitment & Training client is seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to work on an established industrial site in Newcastle. You will perform fixed plant mechanical fitting, with duties including bearings, belts and couplings, and carry out weekly service and maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with some overtime and weekend work available.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with Australian qualifications.
• Experience working on fixed plant machinery is desirable.
• Able to pass urine D&A test and police check.

Responsibilities

• Heavy industrial workshop role performing fixed plant mechanical fitting.
• Work on bearings, belts and couplings and associated components.
• Weekly services and maintenance on plant equipment.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
