Job summary
Amiga Engineering Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our advanced manufacturing team on the shop floor. This hands-on role combines production planning, technical leadership and CNC activity, ensuring efficient daily operations and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong CNC programming/settings experience, plus leadership skills and a background in precision engineering.
Qualifications
- Hands-on CNC programming, setting and machining experience.
- Experience leading manufacturing teams.
- Background in precision engineering and complex components.
- Familiarity with AS9100D / ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily manufacturing activities with the production team.
- Manage workflow, priorities, staff allocation and delivery schedules.
- Support CNC and manual machining, welding and fabrication operations.
- Undertake hands-on CNC programming, setting and operating when required.
- Provide technical guidance to machinists and apprentices.
- Coordinate purchasing of tooling, equipment and consumables.
