Job summary

Alsop Engineering Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer Operator to operate a range of CNC machines and program parts to tight tolerances. You will read engineering drawings, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues and collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer Operator.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC programming languages and software such as G-code and CAM systems.
• Expertise in operating a range of CNC machinery including horizontal machining center, 5-axis mills, other specialty equipment.
• Excellent reading of engineering drawings and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders and other specialty equipment.
• Program CNC machines to produce parts to tight tolerances and specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
